Exports of 2008: The revised figures of 2008 have been released indicating a 24% increase in exports in comparison to 2007 figures, reaching 13.2 Billion EGP.

Exports of 2009: Despite the global downturn, Egyptian engineering exports have witnessed a significant recovery during the second quarter of 2009. Exports have crossed 1 Billion EGP in the month of June alone, resulting in total export value of 4.3 Billion EGP during the first half of 2009. Amongst the sectors that have contributed to the recovery have been: Cables, White Goods, Car Components and Buses.
